Land West of Ratby

Public Consultation

Welcome to our Consultation

This Public Consultation has now closed. Thank you for all comments received, which will be considered by Lagan Homes.

This website presents Lagan Homes’ emerging ideas for a landscape-led housing proposal to the west of Ratby.

Our vision is to create a new parkland containing a network of green walks and a mosaic of habitats which forms a framework for a range of new homes, potentially about 470; a primary school; a village hall; recreational open space and a link road that can take traffic from Main Street.

The scale of this comprehensive scheme will provide a long-term plan for Ratby rather than piece-meal developments, which will be better able to secure significant facilities for the village. Please view our plans via the ‘Proposals’ tab above.

This consultation is being held to share our current thoughts for the site, and to obtain feedback to inform the scheme prior to a planning application being submitted. Lagan Homes welcomes your thoughts and suggestions as we shape the proposals.

Please submit your views via the ‘Your Views’ tab. The website will remain ‘live’ up to 4th August.

Alternatively, you can post your comments to:

Marrons, Waterfront House,
Waterfront Plaza, 35 Station St
Nottingham, NG2 3DQ

Please send us your comments by 4th August 2024

Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council will also notify local residents once a planning application has been submitted and this will provide further opportunity for the local community to comment.

Lagan Homes is already present in Ratby, having built Pear Tree Business Park off Desford Lane, home to nine thriving businesses, and is building a range of homes off Markfield Road. Through these planning permissions, Lagan Homes is directly supporting a range of community facilities including the library, health care, education, and transportation; and providing recreational facilities and tree planting to enhance the National Forest.
