Flood Risk and Drainage

The Site lies outside of any areas at risk of flooding from rivers and sea. As shown by the Illustrative Masterplan and the Development Framework Plan, the Site would be brought forward along with a series of detention basins the purpose of which would be to hold surface water run-off from the development and discharge it to the existing watercourses at greenfield run-off rates. This means that the amount of water running from the developed Site would be no more than the current greenfield run-off rates. This will ensure that flood risk is not increased elsewhere as part of the proposed development.
